In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) is a treatment where eggs are collected from the mother, fertilised, and then implanted into the womb. It's used to treat both primary and secondary infertility.
Through hormonal stimulation of the ovaries, we achieve a larger number of follicles from which the doctor retrieves the patient's oocytes. These oocytes are then immediately fertilized with the partner's sperm in the embryology laboratory.
The embryos are carefully cultivated and you have a detailed view of their development in the incubators. This is followed by the transfer of the embryos into the uterus or freezing of the embryos for further fertilization attempts. The success rate of this method is up to 50%.
Why to choose treatment at the ISCARE clinic, Prague
In the Czech Republic, the law allows both homologous IVF, using the couple's own eggs and sperm, and heterologous IVF, using donor eggs, sperm, or embryos. Women can receive these treatments up to the age of 49. From the age of 50, artificial insemination treatments are no longer permitted.
