Assisted hatching facilitates embryo settlement in the uterus
Assisted hatching is a tiny adjustment we make to the embryo to help it settle into the uterus more easily. We gently thin out the outer layer of the embryo.
This is usually done right before we put the embryo into the uterus. We use special tools like needles attached to a manipulator or lasers to do this. It's a micromanipulation technique that can make a big difference in helping the embryo stick where it needs to be.
