Effective treatment of obesity with gastric balloons
Obesity treatment is offered at our gastroenterology clinic, where we have a medical staff with many years of experience in obesity treatment, gastroenterology and bariatric surgery.
We provide obesity treatment using intragastric balloons, which are an effective and safe method of dealing with obesity and its associated complications. This method has over 20 years of clinical history and proven effectiveness. In studies to date, patients have experienced a weight reduction of 15-25 kg within 6 months, however the results depend on the patient's starting weight.
The gastroenterology team specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases and offers non-surgical weight loss procedure. Thanks to our highly equipped clinic, we are able to ensure your complete treatment, from the non-binding online consultation to the preoperative examination, gastroscopy and gastric balloon procedure. Our target is to find the optimal procedure to grant a long term weight loss and eliminate or prevent diseases accompanied by obesity.
Types Of Gastric Balloons
Gastric Balloon Orbera/Orbera365
Gastric balloon Orbera/Orbera 365 is inserted into the abdomen, which causes an early feeling of fullness. This method is used for patients with BMI 30 and higher. Thus, it is the only bariatric procedure suitable for clients with BMI lower than 35.
Gastric Balloon Spatz
Spatz gastric balloon has some advantage of a classic gastric balloon. It is introduced for up to 12 months; on the contrary, the classic gastric balloon has to be removed after 6 months. Another advantage is the ability to adjust the fluid in the balloon during these 12 months. This results in even greater weight reduction.
How gastric balloons work?
A saline-filled balloon placed in the stomach helps to reduce the amount of food intake, resulting in weight loss.
