What examinations and documentation do I need?

It always depends on the type of procedure.

For procedures under general anaesthesia, a comprehensive pre-operative examination including blood tests, ECG and internal examination is required. For patients over 45 years of age and smokers over 40, a heart and lung x-ray is also required.

For procedures under local anaesthesia, blood pressure is checked and, if indicated by the physician, blood draws are also performed.

A full pre-operative examination can be carried out directly at our clinic or can be arranged in advance by your GP, it is important that it is no more than two weeks old.

How long is the hospital stay?

Depending on the type of procedure, the length of hospital stay varies.

For procedures under local anaesthesia, the hospital stay is only 1-2 hours, for operations under general anaesthesia it is usually 1-2 days.

You will receive all the necessary documents and informed consents from us after booking your surgery appointment either in person at the clinic or by email.
