Perfectly sculpted body without excess fat

Liposuction at ISCARE clinic in Prague is one of the most requested procedures. Liposuction is a highly effective method of shaping problematic areas of the body such as the hips, abdomen, outer and inner thighs, arms or double chin. This procedure is ideal for patients with good skin elasticity and quality who have more or less pronounced fat excess in different areas of the body.

At ISCARE we use the power assisted vibration liposuction technique. Liposuction removes the excess fat with the help of a small metal tube. The treated area is first filled with a special liquid to prevent bruises and Edema after surgery. Also, the liquid numbs the area so that the patient feels no pain. The method is suitable for modelling the figure; it is not intended for weight reduction. Only a small scar of 4 mm is left on the skin in the place of incision.

Ideal candidates for liposuction are both men and women. Liposuction can be combined with other kinds of surgeries such as abdominoplasty, thigh lift, or facelift.

Before and after the treatment
  • Prior to the surgery, there is a detailed discussion with the surgeon about which approach to take and what exactly you expect as an outcome.
  • You will be informed about the surgery duration, possible risks and the post operative care.
  • Before the surgery, the doctor marks the fat zones on the body.
  • Before the surgery the patient undertakes an examination by our internist (blood test, ECG, evaluation of health status).
  • The whole operation takes approximately 1-2 hours and is done under general anesthesia.
  • The hospitalization is normally 1 day .
  • After the surgery a special compression cloth should be worn for 8 weeks.
  • No sport is allowed for 2 month although the patient can get back to normal daily routine after aprox. 1 weak.
  • After the surgery, bruises may be visible, slight swelling may occur for about 2 month.
  • The final effect is visible after approximately 3-4 months time. The scars should not be exposed to solar radiation (sun bathing or solarium) for 2 months as well. The overall result depends on the skin type, age, and weight.
  • The scars should not be exposed to solar radiation (sun bathing or solarium) for 6 months.

The length of inability to work depends on the patient's job and ranges from 1 to 2 weeks.
